Why Spices

Lately, I am often asked why I decided to open another business – one that is completely different from the thriving business I already have.

This is something that has been in the works for over a decade.  I have always wanted to share the rich legacy of diverse foods that runs in my DNA and lives in my taste buds.  My mom is Pakistani, my dad is from Zanzibar.  I was born in Dubai and lived there through the early 1990’s.  I live by the beautiful Chesapeake Bay and hubby enjoys meals of fresh caught Rockfish, squirrel stew, and geese and duck prepared in all manner of ways.  The Spicerie is a legacy and a life journey.

All blends are from family recipes or recipes I have developed over the years as hubby and I lovingly continue to build our own fusion-family culture.
